Without a March Madness tournament to follow this month, several publications are still speculating on how it would have played out on the court. USA Today put out its projections for the tournament and they liked the Dayton Flyers to make the championship game, losing a rematch with Kansas by the score of 66-65.
The publication had Kentucky as a three seed in the Midwest Region and defeating Bradley and Virginia before losing to Creighton in the third round. Louisville was a four seed in the Midwest and was upset by Belmont in the opening round. Xavier made the First Four and lost to Northern Iowa.
