The Major League Baseball season could be delayed a lot longer than initially thought. USA Today cites two league executives as saying it could be on hold until Memorial Day weekend or beyond. Team owners and presidents will hold a conference call at noon Eastern Time today.

The Cincinnati Reds made two roster moves on Sunday in anticipation of the announcement of when MLB plans to begin the season. When play resumes, Reds pitcher Jose De Leon and catcher Tyler Stephenson will be in Minor League camp with the Triple-A Louisville Bats.

The St. Louis Cardinals are trying to keep busy with the start of the season up in the air. MLB canceled Spring Training and delayed the start of the regular season by at least two weeks because of the coronavirus pandemic. A group of Redbirds players have remained at the club’s facility in Jupiter, Florida for informal workouts. Plans are also in the works for players who leave camp to stay in baseball shape at home.

Atlanta Braves personnel are headed out of their spring training facility in North Port, FL. Major League Baseball is telling everyone to go home after a New York Yankees minor leaguer reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
