IHSAA cancels Boys State tournament, Spring sports are still on

The Indiana High School Athletic Association announced the cancellation of its Boys State Basketball tournament today. In a statement, IHSAA commissioner Bobby Cox said the association will continue to evaluate the utility of continuing the boys basketball tournament at a later date and will inform member schools and the public as soon as a definitive decision can be reached.

Meanwhile, the IHSAA announced spring sports will continue as scheduled at least for now. IHSAA commissioner Bobby Cox said in an email to member schools that regular season contests are conducted at the discretion of our member schools. Currently, the guidance being provided by the State of Indiana allows for events with less than 250 individuals in attendance to be conducted.
