Unemployment was unchanged in Kentucky from December to January.
Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary January 2020 unemployment rate was 4.3 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics. That was unchanged from December and up a tenth of a point from the 4.2 percent recorded for the state in January of last year.
The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for January was 3.6 percent, up from 3.5 percent in December, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
