WKU, MSU moving classes online after spring break

Murray State and Western Kentucky University are temporarily transitioning to online instruction in response to the coronavirus.

Students at Murray State received an email Wednesday night saying spring break remains scheduled for March 16 through March 20. Beginning on March 23, instruction be online and continue that way until April 5.

The Murray State main campus and regional campuses in Hopkinsville, Fort Campbell and Madisonville will remain open and staff operations will continue. Campus residence halls will also remain open and dining opportunities will also be available.

Meanwhile, Western Kentucky is extending its spring break and will transition to online courses in response to the coronavirus.

Spring break will go through Sunday, March 22, though residence halls will still reopen at noon Sunday for those who need to return to campus.

Beginning March 23, WKU will transition from face-to-face classroom delivery to an alternate delivery format through Sunday, April 5.

Students who are scheduled to graduate in May will still be able to do so.
