NFL Network is reporting it appears the Tennessee Titans will be using the franchise tag to get quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill replaced Marcus Mariota at mid season last year and led the Titans to the AFC championship game before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs. With Tannehill likely in the fold for 2020, it means that free agent signal caller Tom Brady-friends with head coach Mike Vrabel-won’t likely be coming to Nashville.
The Titans have until noon Eastern time Monday to determine which player or players will receive a franchise tag.
