Western Kentucky lost at Kentucky 10-4 Tuesday. Former Christian County standout Lane Diuguid pitched an inning in the game allowing no hits, two strikeouts and a walk. WKU is 10-6 on the season and opens Conference USA play beginning Friday afternoon at UAB.
In other action: Murray State downed North Alabama 8-5 on Tuesday. The Racers improved to 10-7 and welcome Eastern Illinois in the first of a three game Ohio Valley Conference series Friday afternoon at 3 at Johnny Reagan Field.
Austin Peay hit three home runs but two errors cost them as the Governors fell at Lipscomb 9-7 Tuesday. The Governors fell to 6-10 and host Western Illinois at 6 this evening at Raymond C. Hand Park in Clarksville.
