The NFL players’ union extended the deadline by two days for its members to vote on a new labor agreement with the league, giving them until midnight Eastern time on Saturday to make a choice. Due to the extension, there’s also been extension for teams to place franchise tags on players. Instead of a Thursday 4 pm Eastern time deadline, it will now be at 11:59 am Eastern time Monday.
