Details have been released on the four-vehicle crash Monday morning on the Pennyrile Parkway that sent one person to the hospital.
The report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department says 50-year old David Carman of Beaver Dam was southbound in the right lane and a car driven by 47-year old Walter Koelm of Madisonville was in the left lane directly beside him.
When Carman attempted to merge into the left lane to allow two vehicles to merge onto the Parkway from the MLK Bypass, he struck Koelm’s car, causing him to then strike the rear of a car operated by 30-year old Lacy Duke of Dawson Springs.
Another car driven by 42-year old Nicholas Blackman of Hopkinsville was collected in the crash.
Duke was the only person injured and she was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
