Murray State defeated Austin Peay 73-61 in semifinal action Friday night at the Ford Center in Evansville. The Racers got 24 points from Tevin Brown and 15 points and 11 rebounds from KJ Williams to improve to 23-8. OVC Player of the Year Terry Taylor had 27 points and 14 rebounds in defeat for the Governors who finish 21-12.
The other semifinal game saw top seed Belmont down Eastern Kentucky 60-50. The Bruins improve to 25-7 and meet Murray State in the championship game this evening. The team split the two regular season meetings. Tipoff is at 7 pm.
