Tyrell Hatton and Sung Kang have moved to the lead heading into today’s third round of the PGA Tour’s Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. Kang shot a 4-under 68 and Hatton carded a 3-under 69 in his second round Friday as both stand one shot in front of Danny Lee at 7-under.
Rory McIlroy, who was one shot off the lead after the opening round was 1-over for his second round to fall two shots off the pace. First-rounder leader Matt Every, meanwhile, missed the cut after ballooning to an 83 on Friday after opening the tournament with a 7-under 65.
