Princeton man arrested for assault, strangulation

A Princeton man was arrested for strangulation and domestic assault following an incident Monday.

Princeton police were called to the 300 block of Dawson Road about 3:40 p.m. regarding a domestic assault and investigation determined the victim had been assaulted and strangled.

The suspect, 42-year old Billy Waynick of Princeton, had left the scene, but called police the next day to talk to officers.

Waynick turned himself in at the police department and was arrested for first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault (domestic assault).
