As severe weather preparedness week continues across Kentucky, Todd County will test its tornado sirens Friday morning.
Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith says the warning sirens will be tested between 10 a.m. and noon. Each siren may be activated more than once during that time period to help determine how far away they can be heard.
The National Weather Service reminds that outdoor warning sirens are meant only for those who are outdoors and should not be used as a way for those inside to be notified of tornado warnings.
