SEC announces Women’s Basketball post season awards

The Southeastern Conference gave out its post season awards today.
Kentucky’s Rhyne Howard was named First Team All SEC, selected to the All-Defensive Team and was named SEC Player of the Year. Howard was joined on the first team by Tennessee’s Rennia Davis. Tennessee’s Jordan Harston and Vanderbilt’s Koi Love were named Third Team All SEC.

Vanderbilt’s Jordyn Cambridge was named to the All-Defensive team and Kentucky’s Chasity Patterson was named the league’s 6th Woman of the Year. South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley was named SEC Coach of the Year.

Vanderbilt opens play against Auburn in the SEC tournament tomorrow in Greenville, SC.
