One of this week’s Crime Stoppers fugitives of the week was arrested Wednesday morning.
An arrest warrant for fraudulent use of a credit card and exploitation of an adult person was served Wednesday against 42-year old Karen Putney of Hopkinsville.
Hopkinsville police allege that in August and September of last year, Putney used credit cards belonging to an 82-year old victim and made just under $11,000 in unauthorized purchases.
Police say Putney was the victim’s caregiver and that the victim was in a hospital or nursing home when a majority of the purchases were made.
She was booked in the Christian County Jail and released soon after on $1,000 cash bond.
This week’s other fugitive of the week, 40-year old Eleazar Lyle, is still sought on a warrant for failing to appear in court. Anyone knowing his whereabouts should call the anonymous tips line at 270-887-TIPS.
