Former Christian County standout and Berea College freshman Aaliyah Hampton has been named the USA South Conference Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Hampton leads USA South in scoring, averaging 20.5 points per game. She also has a USA South-best 142 made free throws this season. In addition to her scoring numbers, Hampton is averaging 3.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
Hampton was also named to the USA South First Team All-Conference and All-West Division teams as well as League Rookie of the Week three times this season. Berea is 22-3 this season and faces Greensboro in the quarterfinals of the USA South Conference tournament on Saturday.
