Christian County finishes second at KHSAA Wrestling Tournament

Christian County finished second behind Union County in the KHSAA State Wrestling tournament that concluded Saturday at Kentucky Horse Park in Georgetown. The Colonels had 200 1/2 points compared to Union County’s 299 points. Niko Bussell became the 21st state champion for the Colonels at 220 . Cameron Coleman was runner up at 182 and Gage Fowler was runner up at 113. The runner up finish for the Colonels was the third time in the history of the program. The victory for Union County was the fifith in program history. Christian County coach Robert Burnham was named the Kentucky Wrestling Coaches Association Coach of the Year.
