Govs edge Racers and tie for first place in OVC

Austin Peay and Murray State are back in a first place tie for the lead in the Ohio Valley Conference as the Governors edged the Racers 71-68 last night at the Dunn Center. Jordyn Adams led the Governors with 20 points with Bowling Green’s Terry Taylor getting another double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Madisonville’s Javieon Eaves led the Racers with 21 points as Murray State had four players in double figures. The Racers are now 18-7 while the Governors are 17-9 overall, but both are 11-2 in the OVC.

Murray State welcomes Morehead State for a 4 pm tipoff tomorrow at the CFSB Center while Austin Peay welcomes Eastern Kentucky also at 4 pm tomorrow in the Dunn Center.
