The Lexington Herald Leader reports Kentucky transfer quarterback Joey Gatewood and the school plan to file for a waiver with the NCAA for immediate eligibility. The former Auburn signal caller says he doesn’t know what his case might be for becoming eligible for 2020, but says either way he’s ready to go to work. If Gatewood has to sit out this season, he would have two years eligibility beginning in 2021.
