UHA rallies and defeats Christian County in overtime

University Heights rallied from a 15 point third quarter deficit and defeated Christian County 65-62 in overtime Tuesday night. The Colonels led through three quarters 50-43 but the Blazers outscored the Colonels 12-5 in the fourth quarter to force the extra period. University Heights was led in scoring by Amani McGee with 29 points-20 of them coming in the second half. Will Bryan pitched in 15 and KJ Crump added 11.

Christian County was led by Stephan Bussell with 29 before fouling out late in the 4th quarter, with Damikeon Mathis and Olajawon White each adding 11. The Blazers improved to 12-9 and wrap up the top seed in the 8th district tournament at 5-0 and will play at Fort Campbell Thursday night.

Christian County fell to 9-17 and conclude district play 4-2 and returns to action Saturday night at Marshall County.
