Former University Heights standout and Xavier freshman KyKy Tandy was named Big East Conference Freshman of the Week Monday. Tandy averaged 11 points and 1.5 assists in wins over DePaul and Providence last week. Tandy, who scored all 10 of his points against Providence in the decisive second half, has been a big key for Xavier in league play. The Musketeers have won five Big East games with Tandy averaging 13.2 points per game in those wins. Xavier plays at Butler tomorrow night.
