A woman and child were injured in a rear-end collision Thursday afternoon on Country Club Lane.
The collision report from Hopkinsville Police Public Safety Officer Cassidy Woods says 28-year old John Wise of Hopkinsville was stopped and waiting for traffic to pass to make a left turn onto Donna Drive when he was rear-ended by a northbound car driven by 28-year old Chelsy Pearce of Hopkinsville.
Pearce said she tried to stop, but her brakes didn’t work when she pressed the pedal as far as it would go.
Pearce and a three-year-old passenger were both taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
