A Pembroke woman is facing child abuse and public intoxication charges following an incident Thursday night on Navaho Trail in Hopkinsville.
The adult son of 37-year old Tiffany Morris called 911 after she allegedly assaulted him in a moving car and demanded he let her outside.
Police found Morris walking down the middle of the unlit street with an infant in a car seat and a toddler. An arrest citation says the temperature was 32 degrees and light snow was falling.
Morris reportedly had slurred speech and was unstable on her feet.
Police say the children were placed in extreme danger by Morris’ actions and she was placed under arrest for two counts of second-degree criminal abuse of a child.
Morris allegedly became combative and began screaming profanities in the back of the police cruiser, allegedly threatening to shoot the arresting officer. She’s also accused of spitting toward the officer.
Morris was additionally charged with public intoxication and terroristic threatening.
