Mechanical issues may have led to a two-vehicle injury accident Thursday afternoon at South Virginia and East 13th Street.
It happened about 1:25 p.m. and the report from Hopkinsville police says 26-year old Charrity Boyd of Hopkinsville northbound on South Virginia and 75-year old Gary Gragg of Hopkinsville was eastbound on 13th.
Gragg said he tried to stop at the stop sign, but believed his accelerator stuck and he struck a stop sign and then Boyd’s car. Gragg said his car didn’t stop until he took his key out of the ignition.
Boyd complained of head and neck pain and was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center by private vehicle. Gragg was not injured in the crash.
