Arraignment was held Thursday in Oldham Circuit Court for Dayton Jones.
Court officials say defense attorney Darren Wolff entered a not guilty plea on Jones’ behalf to the promoting contraband and persistent felony offender charges. His first pre-trial conference was scheduled for May 7 at 1 p.m. in Oldham Circuit Court.
Jones allegedly had the prescription drug Suboxone in his possession while incarcerated at the prison in La Grange.
Jones was one of four suspects who pled guilty for their roles in the November, 2014 sexual assault of an unconscious 15-year old male at a party on Lafayette Road. Governor Matt Bevin commuted his sentence to time served during the final hours of his administration.
