Two arrested for meth trafficking in Lyon County

Two people were arrested on methamphetamine trafficking charges Tuesday in Lyon County.

Deputies with the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department and Kentucky State Police troopers executed search warrants at the same time at two residential properties on KY 93 about 10 miles south of Eddyville, according to a news release.

The investigation led to the arrest of 38-year old Benjamin Trafford for firearm-enhanced trafficking in meth and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Police also arrested 42-year old Paula Hunter for trafficking in meth and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Hunter had been out on bond following an arrest on New Year’s Day for meth and receiving a stolen firearm charges.
