Two injured in South Virginia Street crash

A two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on South Virginia Street injured two people.

A collision report from Hopkinsville police says 59-year old Richard Moseley of Dickson, Tennessee was headed north in the right lane near East 12th Street and wanted to make a left turn into a parking lot.

He told police he believed it to be a two-way street and never looked over his shoulder for another northbound vehicle in the left lane. He struck a car driven by 37-year old Jessica Cherry of Hopkinsville.

Cherry’s vehicle then went off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Cherry and her passenger, 14-year old Cameron Acree of Hopkinsville, were both taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Moseley declined a trip to the hospital.
