Hopkinsville sweeps doubleheader at Trigg County

Hopkinsville coach Larry Miller got his 450th career win as the Tigers downed Trigg County 69-53 last night in Cadiz. The Tigers used a 19-5 third quarter run to break open a 31-31 tie at the half. Hopkinsville was led in scoring by Javon Smith Rudd with 20 points with Reese Jesse adding 15 and Don Victor pitched in 14. Trigg County was led by Jordan Miles with 13. Hopkinsville is now 10-14 and plays at Warren Central Wednesday night while Trigg County fell to 10-14 and play at Hancock County Friday night.

Girls: Hopkinsville defeated Trigg County 40-31. Donisha Flowers had 15 points to lead the Lady Tigers with Lakayla Samuel adding 13. Trigg County was led by Olivia and Emily Noffsinger who each had eight points. The Lady Tigers are now 12-11 and welcome McCracken County to Tiger Gym this evening. The Lady Wildcats fell to 18-6 and play at Dawson Springs this evening.
