Greenville man charged with drug trafficking

A Greenville man is facing multiple charges of trafficking in methamphetamine following an investigation by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office and the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force.

According to a news release, a search warrant was obtained for a residence on West Campbell Street in Greenville following a yearlong investigation. The warrant was executed at the residence, where 36-year old Alison Lovan of Greenville, who is a suspect involved in the investigation for allegedly selling meth there, was the only resident inside.

The search reportedly revealed approximately 250 grams of meth, close to two pounds of marijuana and assorted pills. Also located was nearly $5000 cash and a handgun. Lovan was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth, trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
