Fire destroyed Sassy Stuff Consignment on Fort Campbell Boulevard Sunday morning.
As previously reported, Hopkinsville Fire Department Deputy Chief Bill Pyle said a Hopkinsville police officer saw smoke coming from the building just across from Nelson Drive at about 4:30 and notified ECC of a possible fire.
Crews from all four stations responded and worked throughout the morning to prevent the flames from extending into the adjoining building, but smoke did spread throughout the entire structure.
Captain Michael Pendleton says that due to the nature of the damage and roof collapse, there is no definitive way to determine the exact cause of the fire and it remains undetermined at this time.
He says it appears the structure will be a total loss.
No one was injured in the fire.
Fort Campbell Boulevard remains closed from Nelson Drive to Sunnyvale Drive; Nelson Drive is closed from Fort Campbell Boulevard to Jessie Avenue and East 21st Street is down to one lane behind the 2400 block of Fort Campbell Boulevard.
