Murray State swept Eastern Illinois in a doubleheader at the CFSB Center Thursday night. The Racers increased their winning streak to 10 games with a 73-70 win over the Panthers behind 24 points from Tevin Brown. Former Hopkinsville standout Jaqualis Matlock scored seven points and had seven rebounds in a losing effort for EIU.
The women’s game saw the Racers get a 92-87 overtime win over the Panthers. Murray State won its second consecutive game and will host SIU-Edwardsville in a men’s/women’s doubleheader beginning at 5 tomorrow evening at the CFSB Center. Ja Morant’s number 12 will be retired at halftime of the men’s game.
