A joint effort between Kiwanis, Rotary, the Hopkinsville Human Relations Commission and Pioneers, Inc. will bring back United in Praise for a fourth time to benefit local non-profit agencies.
According to a news release, the next United in Praise will take place February 22 at the Alhambra Theatre, where choir groups from across the community will share 10 minute musical sets of gospel music. It will encompass various styles of music including, contemporary, traditional, soul, southern gospel and more, before culminating with the final act, where all groups will join together.
Human Rights Commission Director Idalia Luna says, “United in Praise is an event that brings us all together as one to showcase cultural and musical diversity. It fits in perfectly with the Human Rights Commission’s goal of collaboration for our entire community.”
Tickets for the concert are $10 and doors will open at 6 p.m. Advance tickets are available at the Alhambra Theatre or by calling 270-887-4295. Proceeds raised from the event will benefit local charities, which will be announced at a later date.
