Woman claiming former UE coach McCarty sexually assaulted her hires law firm

The Evansville Courier-Press reported Wednesday a woman who was allegedly sexually assaulted by former men’s coach Walter McCarty has hired a national law firm to represent her. A statement sent to the newspaper says Dallas-based Simpson Tuegel Law Firm and well-known victim’s rights attorney Michelle Simpson Tuegel will represent the student. McCarty was placed on administrative leave December 27th and fired January 21st for alleged sexual misconduct.
