Second survey created for 2030 Vision Plan process

The Christian County Vision 2030 Task Force has created a second online survey, where residents can express their favorite ‘action ideas’ to make the community a better place to live and work over the next 10 years.

Taylor Hayes is the coordinator for the Christian County Vision 2030 project and says, “After receiving input from thousands of individuals and nearly 1,300 surveys submitted, 5,000 ideas were generated for making our hometown an even better place to live, work, learn and play.”

Speaking of the new survey Hayes says “Our vision Task Force has distilled those ideas into 129 potential actions and now we want to know what you think is most important.”

The four focus areas are: Economy, Employment and Infrastructure; Housing, Neighborhoods and Districts; Safety, Governance, Wellness and Sustainability; Livability and Recreation; and Education and Workforce.

Officials say the input will help shape an action plan to guide the next ten years of growth and community investments.

The final plan will be developed and presented in mid to late spring.

The survey will be open through the end of February. Those who complete it will be entered into a drawing for a $250 Visa Gift Card.
