Additional details have been released on an incident from Tuesday morning on Peachers Mill Road in Clarksville, where three people were shot.
Clarksville police say officers responded to a shooting in progress in the 900 block of Peachers Mill at about 9:15 a.m. and found a male and female outside with gunshot wounds. Officers were notified of a Ford Taurus that was possibly involved and they quickly located the car in the front yard of a Leigh Court residence.
A male was found in the back yard of the Leigh Court residence and was detained.
Police say investigation determined the man in his 20’s drove the Taurus to the Peachers Mill Road home and the man and woman—both in their 30’s—were outside.
They were interacting with the man in the car when gunfire was exchanged and all three people were struck.
The couple in their 30’s was treated and released from a local hospital. The man in his 20’s remained in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Other vehicles in the area were struck by gunfire, but no one else was injured.
