Police: Man intentionally rammed house with car in hit and run

Hopkinsville police arrested a local man early Tuesday morning after he allegedly drove his vehicle into a house and then fled the scene.

The incident happened about 4:45 a.m. at 1930 Oak Street, where the resident said 26-year old Jamarcus Spates of Hopkinsville intentionally drove his car into the side of the house. The victim was home, but was not injured.

Spates was located in the driver’s seat of his car at 633 Cypress Street and was placed under arrest for first-degree wanton endangerment and operating on a suspended license.
