Christian County swept the regular season with Hopkinsville in a 67-52 win in the Toyota of Hopkinsville Showcase at Lyle Dunbar Gym. The Colonels trailed 29-28 at halftime and went on a 21-8 run in the third quarter to get the win. Christian County had four players in double figures led by Damikeon Mathis with 17 points, Stephan Bussell added 15 and Kobe Dillard and Olajawon White each pitched in 12 at the Colonels improved to 7-12 overall and 2-1 in 8th district play. Christian County is back in action Tuesday night in a 6 pm tipoff against Owensboro Catholic at the Owensboro Sportscenter.
Hopkinsville had just one player in double figures as Authur McKnight led all scorers with 25 points as the Tigers fell to 9-13 overall and 2-3 in 8th district games. Hopkinsville returns to action next Friday night against University Heights.
