A traffic stop Saturday by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department led to the arrest of a Tennessee man for marijuana trafficking.
Sgt. Jeff Goulet and Deputy Clevin Robinson stopped 26-year old John Gardner, Jr. of Nashville near the 5 mm of the Pennyrile Parkway for speeding and noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Police say a search revealed marijuana in the console and two bags of marijuana inside a hidden compartment. Deputies also found a scale, clear baggies and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Gardner was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations.
