There will be a reception Tuesday afternoon at the Hopkinsville Municipal Center to honor retiring Human Rights Commission Executive Director Bernard Standard.
It will begin at 5 p.m. and there will be special recognition for Standard at 5:45 p.m.
It’s just one of many honors he is receiving as he departs the Human Rights Commission, as he received the inaugural Bernard Standard Award for Excellence at the Mayor’s Unity Breakfast in October.
Idalia Luna has been hired to succeed Standard as executive director.
