A first-half explosion allowed Austin Peay to breeze to a 92-81 win against UT Martin. Freshman Jordyn Adams had 31 points as five Governors scored in double figures in remaining unbeaten in the Ohio Valley Conference at 6-0 and 12-7 overall. Austin Peay returns home Thursday night to host Tennessee State.
In the women’s game, a first half three-point bombardment staked Austin Peay Sto an 11-point lead at the half, but the Governors were unable to hold on, as a late UT Martin rally knocked off the Govs, 65-61. The Lady Governors are now 10-7 overall and 1-5 in the OVC and welcome Tennessee State as part of a men’s/women’s doubleheader at 5:30 Thursday in the Dunn Center.
