Woman seriously injured in Marshall County crash

A woman was flown to a Nashville hospital Thursday after the tractor-trailer she was driving overturned on Interstate 69 in Marshall County.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated and determined Kyeshia McKinney of Shelbyville, Tennessee was northbound when she became distracted and lost control of the semi.

The tractor-trailer struck a guard rail and overturned onto its side.

A West Kentucky Rural Electric vehicle came upon the scene and helped emergency crews lift the semi to extricate McKinney from the vehicle.

She was flown by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of serious injuries.
