Tavieon Hollingsworth scored Western Kentucky’s last nine points in the final 38 seconds of last night’s matchup with Old Dominion, bringing the Hilltoppers back from an eight-point deficit with 1:20 remaining for a 71-69 win at E.A. Diddle Arena. Hollingsworth led WKU is scoring with 23 points as the Hilltoppers improved to 11-6 overall and 4-1 in Conference USA. WKU welcomes Charlotte for a 4 pm tipoff tomorrow.
Western Kentucky’s Lady Toppers rallied back to get within five points after being down 18 in the third quarter at Old Dominion on Thursday night, but were unable to complete the comeback falling 76-65. They return to action tomorrow at Charlotte.
