State Representative Lynn Bechler says the future of the sports betting bill is uncertain and he’s looking forward to see what kind of budget Governor Andy Beshear will propose in less than two weeks.
A House committee forwarded on a bill Wednesday that would legalize sports betting in Kentucky and Bechler says it has a decent chance to make it out of the full House.
He says he wasn’t thrilled with Governor Andy Beshear’s State of the Commonwealth Address from Tuesday night that he believes lacked specifics.
Representative Bechler was pleased Governor Beshear pledged to continue fully funding the pension systems, but he’s unsure where enough revenue is going to be generated to meet all of the requests coming to state government.
Bechler represents all of Caldwell, Crittenden and Livingston and a portion of Christian County.
