One person was killed and another was arrested following a single-vehicle accident Wednesday on Interstate 69 in Marshall County.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated and determined 39-year old Kyle Green of Paducah had been northbound near the I-24 overpass when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a guard rail.
His passenger, 33-year old Jamie Burks of Ledbetter, was ejected and died from her injuries at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Green was arrested and charged with DUI and second-degree manslaughter, with police saying the incident remains under investigation and those charges could be amended.
