Elkton man arrested on gun, drug charges

A traffic stop in Elkton Tuesday afternoon led to the arrest of a man for drug and gun charges.

Elkton Police Chief Robert Toombs stopped a vehicle on Pond River Road operated by 58-year old Albert Toner of Elkton for a traffic and equipment violation, according to a news release.

A search allegedly revealed methamphetamine, marijuana and a revolver.

Toner was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana and meth.
