Greenwood scored the first 11 points of the game and despite Hopkinsville cutting the lead to five at halftime, the Gators got a 61-48 win in Bowling Green last night. KC Cabiness led the Tigers with 14 points and Daisjuan Mercer added 11. Hopkinsville was without leading scorer Don Victor due to an injury.
The Gators were led in scoring by Cade Stinnett with 19 points in improving to 10-7 on the season. Hopkinsville lost its fourth straight game in falling to 7-10 and returns to action tonight hosting Northeast as part of a boy-girl doubleheader at Tiger Gym.
Elsewhere: Metcalfe County defeated Todd Central 83-64 in the 4th Region All A Classic where Monroe County edged Russellville 51-48.
