A Clarksville woman was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a crash on the Pennyrile Parkway Thursday.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department report, a vehicle driven by 18-year old Peyton Dunlap of Clarksville was traveling south on the Pennyrile Parkway near the 4 mile marker when she saw a tarp in the roadway and attempted to go around it.
She was unable to avoid it completely and hit the tarp with the left front tire, which caused the vehicle to cross over the right lane and strike a bridge wall. She reportedly over corrected, causing the vehicle to spin out back across both lanes of traffic before coming to a stop in the median against the guardrail.
Dunlap was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
