Motorcyclist injured in Clarksville wreck dies

The motorcyclist struck by a vehicle in a wreck in Clarksville on New Year’s Day has died and the driver of the vehicle has been charged with homicide.

According to the Clarksville Police Department, 51-year old Harold Perry had been operating his motorcycle on January 1 on Fort Campbell Boulevard when a vehicle driven by 38-year old Arial Hummel pulled into his path.

The two collided, ejecting Perry, who was taken to a Nashville hospital where he would die of his injuries on Tuesday of this week.

Hummel was originally charged with DUI but is now facing charges of vehicular homicide and failure to yield resulting in injury or death.
