A Hopkinsville man is in jail for strangulation after he allegedly put his arm around his mother’s neck during an argument and restricted her breathing.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to the Oak Tree Villa Apartments for reports of a disturbance.  Upon arrival, the victim allegedly told officers and she and her son, 37-year old Antonio Brody of Hopkinsville, had been in argument when he allegedly pushed her onto a bed and put her in a ‘choke hold’.

The victim says she was unable to breathe during the incident.

Brody was arrested and charged with first-degree strangulation, which is a felony.
