An arrest has been in connection with a November incident when a gunshot struck the bed of a sleeping child.
A warrant against 27-year old Devonte George of Hopkinsville alleges that on November 1, George was handling a rifle when it discharged twice.
One round struck George on the inner thigh and another round went through the floor of his second story apartment and into the bed of a child sleeping in the apartment below.
George sought treatment on his own at the emergency room and the child was not injured.
George is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
